We pride ourselves on offering numerous opportunities for our residents to participate in activities on a daily basis. The Summit Villa Memory Care Activity Program is designed to be all-encompassing to offer activities which promote living a well balanced life. The calendar changes month-to-month based on the current residents participating in the program. The calendar is developed with the knowledge of the resident's current interests to ensure that activities are engaging and interesting to the residents. 

Services Offered in Our All-Inclusive Model of Care

Assisted living care residents can walk around the courtyards, enjoy quick senior meals or senior dining snack at the 239 Bistro, attend assisted living church worship services in our non-denominational assisted living chapel, or browser through our assisted living library. They can try their hand at assisted living gardening at our greenhouse, sit for a chat in our senior housing sunroom, enjoy scheduled adult care homes activities in our senior living activities room, or host a family event in our private senior living dining room.

Quality Training Program

Training is the cornerstone of Summit Villa Memory Care. Our staff have tremendous dedication to providing quality care and services in a compassionate and educated manner. In addition to the required training on the facility level, the staff at Summit Villa Memory Care take a 5 course, 32 hour memory care training program. From redirection to purposeful living relationship management, the training program published by the Alzheimer's Association mirrors the type of care Summit Villa Memory Care wants to provide. 

As we evaluated Alzheimer's training programs, we could have selected from numerous companies and online schools, but we found value and credibility in using the official Alzheimer's Association Program called the Cares Approach. We understand having a loved one transition through the stages of Alzheimer's can be very difficult and leaves one wondering what tomorrow may bring. Fortunately, our training program has a portal for families to experience the approach and reasoning for how our staff interact with each person at Summit Villa Memory Care. This informational course is beneficial to families and brings awareness to Alzheimer's care using the Cares Approach.
